Our Stay at Rocabella Hotel Mykonos.

Ruhe und die pure Entspannung – diese beiden Wörter beschreiben unseren zweinächtigen Aufenthalt im Rocabella Hotel Mykonos wohlmöglich am besten. Bisher haben wir noch nie solch einen entspannten Urlaub verbracht wie in diesem Hotel. Für uns war es sowohl das erste Mal Griechenland als auch das erste Mal Mykonos und wir könnten nicht mehr schwärmen. Wir sind riesige Fans von der wunderschönen Insel geworden und es folgt demnächst noch ein ausführliches Travel Diary mit einigen Sightseeing, Strand und Food Tips. Als wir im Rocabella ankamen, wurden wir sofort persönlich vom Hotel Manager Alan, der by the way überaus freundlich und sympathisch war, begrüßt. Er führte uns durchs Hotel und gab uns echt tolle Insider Tipps was Strände, Beach Bars und Restaurants angeht. Letztendlich zeigte er uns dann unser Zimmer – eine Junior Suite mit eigener Sonnenterrasse inklusive Jacuzzi! Wow! Wir waren geflashed und freuten uns riesig auf unsere kleine, private Wellness Oase für die kommenden zwei Tage! Die meiste Zeit verbrachten wir dann, wie sollte es auch anders sein, auf unserer Terrasse und im Jacuzzi. Das Wetter war für Anfang Oktober ein absoluter Traum, 25 Grad bei Sonnenschein und fast keine Wolke am Himmel. Wir haben die Sonne und den wunderschönen Ausblick aufs Meer von unserer Terrasse aus so sehr genossen, vor allem bei Sonnenuntergang war es einfach nur traumhaft! Das Zimmer war auch absolut nach unserem Geschmack. Minimalistisch, sehr viel weiß und ein paar gemütliche Details, passte für uns einfach perfekt in das ganze Flair der Insel. Wir fühlten uns pudelwohl. Besonders begeistert waren wir von dem sogenannten „Turn Down“ Service am Abend. Zu Beginn des Aufenthalts konnten wir zwei verschiedene Düfte aus verschiedensten Duftrichtungen wählen – wir wählten Lemongrass und Orange. Als wir am ersten Abend zurück in unser Zimmer kamen, wartete dort schon ein aufgeräumtes, mit Kerzen beleuchtetes und wundervoll nach Lemongrass duftendes Zimmer auf uns. Schöner hätten wir es uns nicht vorstellen können! Dann kam auch noch das Frühstücksbuffet am Morgen, was absolut unsere Erwartungen übertraf. Eine riesen Auswahl mit frischen Produkten und alles sah so lecker aus! Für uns als „Frühstücks-Bowl“ Liebhaber war es das reinste Paradies, da sie verschiedenste Toppings hatten wie z.B. Granberries, Goji Beeren und alle möglichen Nüsse. Außerdem konnte man sich Pancakes und Omelettes zubereiten lassen und bekam noch als Gruß zwei leckere Crepes auf den Tisch. Alles, was wir probiert haben (und das war seeehr viel) war super lecker! Die Hotelanlage mit Pool und Aussicht hat uns auch richtig gut gefallen und die Lage würden wir definitiv mit 5 Sternen bewerten. Das Hotel liegt fernab vom Trubel der Stadt, sehr ruhig und nur wenige Minuten vom Strand „Agios Stefanos“ entfernt. Besser könnte es nicht sein. Der Strand ist wunderschön, es gibt kostenlose Sonnenliegen, das Wasser ist klar und wir hatten tolle Wellen! Wir ihr hört, waren wir rundum glücklich und zufrieden im Rocabella Hotel und würden es jedem, der auf Mykonos einen wunderschönen, entspannten Urlaub verbringen möchte, sofort weiter empfehlen. Quiet and pure relaxation – these two words probably describe our two nights stay at the Rocabella Hotel Mykonos the best. We have so far not experienced such a relaxed vacation like the one in this hotel. For us it has been the first time in Greece as well as the first time on Mykonos and we couldn’t be more obsessed! We became huge fans of this wonderful island and there will soon be a detailed travel diary up on our blog with some sightseeing, beach and food tips. The moment we arrived at the Rocabella Hotel we were welcomed by the hotel manager Alan straight away who by the way was super friendly and sympathetic. He showed us around and gave us some really cool tips regarding good beaches and restaurants on the island. At last he showed us our room – a junior suite with private sun terrace and jacuzzi. Wow! We both were flashed and so excited to spend the next two days in this private little wellness haven. Most of the time – how could it be otherwise – we were spending at the terrace and the jacuzzi. The weather was just perfect although it was already october! 25 degrees and sunshine. We’ve enjoyed the sun and the breathtaking view onto the sea from our terrace to the fullest. Especially during sunset it was simply a dream! The room design was also completely our taste. Minimalist, a lot of white and some cozy details. It was perfectly representing the atmosphere of Mykonos. We felt completely contented. What we especially liked was the so called „turn down“ service in the evenings. At the beginnig of our stay we could choose 2 different fragrances, we chose lemongrass and orange. As we came back to our room the first night, it was waiting with candles and wonderful lemongrass flavor. It could not have been better! Then there was also this super good breakfast buffet in the morning which completely exceeded our expectations. There was a huge variety of fresh products and everything looked so super delish! For us as „breakfast bowl“ lovers it was the real paradise cause they had a big range of toppings like all kind of nuts, cranberries, goji berries and stuff like that. Besides you could also have some freshly made pancakes and you also got a little greeting to your table – which in our case were super delicious crepes. The whole hotel facility with the pool and sea view was simply beautiful and we would definitely rate the hotel location with 5 stars cause it is far from the noisy town and only a few minutes away from the „Agios Stefanos“ beach. This beach by the way is very beautiful, there are complimentary sunbeds, the water is clear and we had some great waves on these days. As you may have noticed, we were completely happy with our hotel choice and we’d definitely recommend it to all of you who would love to spend an amazing and super relaxed time on Mykonos.
